Of course, Downtown Nashville is just minutes away, and you can always catch a Titans game at Nissan Stadium, a concert at Bridgestone Arena or the Ryman Auditorium, or catch up on your music history at the Country Music Hall of Fame.

There are several large and small Nashville parks in and around 8th Avenue South that offer plenty of amenities, greenspace, and fun things to do for residents. Rose Park which sits just west of the neighborhood is 24 acres of athletic fields and a walking track. Reservoir Park which sits in the heart of the neighborhood has basketball and tennis courts, a playground, picnic areas, walking trails, and a small reservoir. It is also within walking distance of several notable businesses. To the east of 8th Avenue South, you will find Fort Negley Park and Visitor Center, which features exhibits and videos about the history of Nashville and its role in the Civil War. Park visitors can walk the grounds, give themselves a self-guided tour, and even bring dogs on a leash. The Adventure Science Center sits next to Fort Negley Park.
