My time in Nashville has been a textbook whirlwind of excitement, opportunity, luck, and hard-work. I came to the volunteer state as a hungry musician, eager to take advantage of all that "Music City" had to offer. I was not disappointed. Almost immediately I felt the hospitality, electricity, creativity, and charm that so many people who visit the area fall in love with. I felt opportunity. I felt excitement. I felt community. I knew that Nashville was my home.
During my first year as a proper "Nashvillian", I earned the opportunity to work and travel with some of Country and Pop music's most A-List artists such as Sugarland, Lady Antebellum, Sara Bareilles, and One Republic. It was through these experiences that I gained a better understanding of the "real" Nashville. It was through these experiences that I built (and still maintain), friendships and strong industry relationships that will last a lifetime.
Despite Nashville winning my heart, I've always taken pride in my desire to never stop exploring, (or learning). Last year alone, my wife and I backpacked through 35 cities and 17 countries. I set out to learn more about the culture, architecture, community, and diversity that made each place we visited so unique. We slept on couches, in hostels, on trains, or any other place that we could rest our heads. Talk about gaining a new appreciation for real estate! I started to understand the value of finding a place to "put down roots". It was during these travels, that I started to realize my passion for helping others find a place to call home.
Finding your niche in Nashville can be difficult without an insider's perspective. Being such a diverse and growing area, the landscape is (literally) changing daily. From 12 South, to Germantown, to East Nashville, to Brentwood, to Franklin, to Green Hills, Nashville has something special to offer for everyone. The trick is knowing where to look. As someone who frequents many different areas of the city on a consistent basis, I have an in-depth understanding of Nashville's unique and increasingly diverse communities.
I hold a Bachelor's degree in Marketing and Business Administration from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. I am also a member of the Greater Nashville Association of Realtors (GNAR).
When not helping clients achieve their real estate goals, I actively compose music for network television such as ABC, CBS, NBC, MTV, HGTV, and Discovery. Chances are, you've already heard a good deal of my music on your newest favorite reality TV show!
It is my goal to provide clients with a unique and a creative approach to fulfilling their real estate needs.
Musically, Marcus Affeldt
